Dear Erasmus Mundus coordinators, Many of you have attended the Erasmus Mundus 20th anniversary meeting on Monday and Tuesday (some photos, here). Thanks to the presentation of the Erasmus Mundus impact sudy, the event has been an excellent opportunity to realise the huge impact of the programme along the years, with around 38000 scholarship holders and 50000 students enrolled in Erasmus Mundus Master’s degrees. It has also been a great opportunity for networking and for discovering some of the EMJM(D)s through their posters/slides (see here). You can find additional elements and discuss on the Erasmus Mundus community platform. And as coordinator, do not forget to join the EMACT group! *** SAVE THE DATE The EMACT board has decided to holdthe 2nd EMACT in-person meeting on January 10, 2025. The place will be decided next Septemberand we will consult you for the programme. *** VISA ISSUES The forms remain available if you want to support our initiative to facilitate visa issues, we would really appreciate if you could: let us now cases you are facing (or structural problems with some countries or embassies) by filling a consortium formfor each case you (as coordinator or partner) want to share with us, offer the opportunity to your students or recently graduated alumni to share their cases by filling the students/alumni form. *** Sincerely, The EMACT board. Visa issues – TEMPLATE for the partners in your EMJM(D) consortium Dear partners, We are facing each year major visa issues for our students. Within this context, the European Commission informed us that we have: “the possibility to launch a complaint if you observe that an EU Member State does not comply with the EU Directive 2016/801 on the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals for the purposes of research, studies, training, voluntary service, pupil exchange schemes or educational projects and au pairing (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2016/801/oj).” The EMACT (Erasmus Mundus Association for Consortia CooperaTion) is gathering general and individual cases to build a collective case. We would be grateful if, as partner in the programme, you could report individual cases or recurrent problems in relation to a country, consulate or embassy. You can use this link (reserved to consortia members): https://framaforms.org/emact-building-a-collective-case-to-solve-visa-issues-consortium-form-1712840245 Note that if you have to fill a new for each case (whether general or individual) you want to report. We will also send another link for the individual cases to the students and alumni. Sincerely, PS: of course, you can also fill a complaint on the European Commission’s form (here). |
