The University Stefan cel Mare, Suceava, FLOURISH Information Conference 2024

The University Stefan cel Mare, Suceava, organised on the 30th of May 2024 the Information Conference on the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master “Resilience in Educational Contexts” -EMJM FLOURISH. The FLOURISH – Resilience in Educational Contexts Joint Master Programme was presented within the framework of the ERASMUS MUNDUS Partnerships of Excellence as a unique programme, developed within a European university consortium with global addressability. Professor Stefan Purici, Vice-Rector
for International Relations, was invited to present the University’s perspective on internationalisation. The coordinator, Associate Professor Adina Colomeischi, then presented the FLOURISH programme and its history. Petruta Rusu, PhD, gave a presentation on the main theme of FLOURISH and Resilience, providing an overview of theories and practices around the world aimed at enhancing resilience and promoting human flourishing. At the conference, representatives of two local organisations working with people with disabilities and refugees were invited to explain how their approaches contribute to building resilience within the community. The inaugural conference was attended by 104 participants. Some of these participants were students from USV and also from “Yuriy Fedkovich” University in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. All of them were aware that FLOURISH is a programme that proposes an innovative approach to enable graduates from the fields of education, psychology, social sciences, educators and practitioners to develop resilience-promoting contexts to empower children and young people with the resources and competences to effectively cope with challenges in their own educational and developmental journey.
