On the 28th September 2023 the University of Crete organised an information session on the Flourish Project: Joint Master in Resilience in Educational Contexts.
The meeting was opened by Professor Anastasios Matsoupolos, the programme director at the University of Crete, followed by brief welcome addresses from University Rector Professor George Kontakis, Vice Rectors Professor George Kossioris, Professor Michalis Pavlidis, Professor Dimitris Mylonakis, and Professor Konstantinos Spanoudakis. Professor Ioannis Spantidakis Dean of School of Education, Professor Theodore Eleftherakis, Chair of Department of Preschool Education , and Eleni Peraki Director of International Student Affairs, academic staff and students from the University and educators from the public education sector in Crete.
The meeting was also addressed by Professor Carmel Cefai, project coordinator (Universit of Malta), Prof Celeste Simoes, University of Lisbon, Portugal, and Professor Adina Colomeischi, Stefan cel Mare University, Suceva, Romania. Also attending via zoom was the General Secretary of Education of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Odisseas Zoras who gave a very positive greeting on the collaboration between the four partners and associate partners. In total 140 attendees were present at the information session. The event was covered in the local press (aka Rethymniotika Nea) and Creta TV.
